Bushings

GE provides cost effective solutions to facilitate the electric stress control of your equipment. Our bushings for electrical transmission offer AC and DC solutions with high-value customer benefits: longer lifetime and higher reliability, increased safety, no maintenance and installation flexibility.

Since 1923, GE’s bushings have been synonymous with excellence, quality and competence in the high voltage field. GE has its manufacturing plant and center of competence and development in Sesto San Giovanni (Milan), Italy..

Motivated to provide you with innovative and superior quality products, our vision remains focused on meeting customer requirements while anticipating and exceeding the needs of a continuously changing market.

GE’s solution advantages: RIP, OIP and Hybrid Bushings for AC & DC Applications

  • RIP – Resin Impregnated Paper up to 550 kV for power transformers
  • RIP – Resin Impregnated Paper up to 36 kV and 45kA for generator
  • OIP – Oil Impregnated Paper for voltages up to 1200 kV for power transformers
  • SF6 insulated up to 800 kV for GIS
  • HVDC – High Voltage Direct Current:

    • SF6 insulated through-wall bushings and up to 800kV
    •
    • Hybrid SF6  – OIP insulated transformer bushings up to 800kV
      •
      • Grading capacitor is encased by special fiberglass cones that ensure a triple barrier system between the transformer oil and the valve room. Hence Oil from the transformer cannot flow into the valve hall.
      •
      • Direct gas leakages to the transformer are not possible thanks to pressure sensors installed on the OIP section prevents direct gas leakages to the transformer.
      •
      • Oil in the grading capacitor ensures excellent thermal performances, specifically for higher current ratings (≥4500A) and harmonics due to the convertor operation. Risk of pollution of grading capacitor is eliminated due to non-exposure of paper roll during the installation of Bushing on Transformer
    • RIP insulated transformer bushings up to 550kV
